Geometrical structures and objects from the point of view of their applications in mechanics
Ambrozková, Anna ; Kureš, Miroslav (referee) ; Tomáš, Jiří (advisor)
This Master's thesis relates to continuum mechanics and its connection with selected directions of modern differential geometry, which deal with geometric structures and objects. These are mainly tensors, bundles, varieties and jets. The first part is devoted to the mechanics of the continuum itself and its description in several areas, others deal with mathematical concepts and their possible application in mechanics.
Vliv antropogenních aktivit na společenstva vodních organismů v horní části povodí Litavky
ČERNÝ, Jan
The degradation of the natural environment is considered to be a global problem. Due to the importance of water sources, preservation and improvement of their quality are one of priority interest of all society. This study deals with the reactions of aquatic organism groups like fish and benthic invertebrates to an anthropological effect in the Litavka basin. Researched part of Litavka is polluted by toxic heavy metals from past ceveral centuries of extensive mining and industrial smelting in its close proximity. It is also polluted by releasing wastewaters, which contain xenobiotics, trash, and decomposing organic matter. The Obecnický stream was chosen as a reference locality because it is the most similar to a clear natural habitat. It flows into the Litavka river in a spot, where the riverbed is channelised and its floodplain is occupied by toxic waste dumps. The Obecnický stream can be considered the most important water source in the upper Litavka basin regarding the current hydrological conditions. Autochthonous fish population in the upper Litavka basin suffer from several water abstractions, which change temperature and flow regimes. It was our effort, to evaluate the influences of these anthropological factors on aquatic biota, aiming to above-mentioned pollution types, and presence of the water reservoir situated on the Obecnický stream. Monitoring of organism and environmental data collecting (physically chemical parameters, NH4+ , NO2-, PO43-, bottom substrate, flow, and others) were always implemented parallelly. In the case of fish species groups, the resulting correlations show us the greatest impact of the temperature gradient and zinc concentration. We found out a negative correlation between zinc concentrations and abundances of brown trout (Salmo trutta morpha fario) and brook lamprey (Lampetra planeri). On the other hand, common minnow (Phoxinus phoxinus) was highly tolerant for this kind of pollution. The abundance of brown trouts decreased with increasing temperature and it seemed as beneficial for common minnow populations. There was also a shift in the community of invertebrates, namely total absence of three mayflies families (Ephemerellidae, Heptageniidae and Leptophlebidae), Gammaridae, the sphaerid clam Pisidium sp. and the river limpet (Ancylus fluviatilis). The inflow of the wastewaters was accompanied with considerable increase of biomass of common several cyprind species. Besides that, there was a high density of eruciform caddisflies of genus Micropterna and Halesus. Within particular benthic invertebrates, domination of dipteran insects, leeches (Hirudinea) and the freshwater waterlouse (Asellus aquaticus) was observed under the outcome of wastewaters.
Right-wing extremism in Brandenburg 1990-2010
Kramlová, Anna ; Dimitrov, Michal (advisor) ; Novotný, Lukáš (referee)
The bachelor thesis and one case study "Right wing extremism in Brandenburg 1990 − 2010" discusses the different forms of right wing extremism in the federal state Brandenburg in the timeframe of twenty years after the German reunification. The aim of this thesis is the analysis of the development of this phenomenon in Brandenburg in all its forms, reaching from right-wing extremist mindsets over political parties, to groupings and the commission of crimes. But also the persecution of right-wing extremism through the measures taken by the government of Brandenburg and the civil society by the Brandenburg political officials as well as the civil society is handled in the thesis. The author is dealing with the reasons for the spreading of right-wing extremism, points out the interconnection between its constituent forms and verifies the officially declared "stagnating to declining" tendency of right-wing extremist display in Brandenburg. Several conclusions are drawn. The scene is much interconnected despite its heterogeneity, especially with the National Democratic Party NPD. The most immediate danger is posed by right-wing extremist motivated violence, justified by the ideology of the culprits and ranging from threats to murder. The claim about "stagnating to declining" tendency of right-wing...
The use of invariants of geometric transformations to solving problems
Doubrava, Jiří ; Zamboj, Michal (advisor) ; Beran, Filip (referee)
This thesis deals with the division of bijective collinear geometric mappings. It deals with a corresponding view on its respective problems and their solutions. The main part of the thesis is a collection of solved problems in the field of plane geometry, which are divided into several groups. The thesis can be used by both mathematics teachers and students at the secondary schools. The thesis is divided into two parts; the first part is theoretical and it contains a brief introduction to the basic concepts concerning invariants of geometric transformations and a description of the structure of geometry according to Felix Klein including his Erlangen program; the second part contains the actual assignments and so- lutions of the problems. The solutions of some of the problems are supplemented by im- ages created in GeoGebra software for better illustration. The images play an important role even in the theoretical part, where they can help improve understanding of some of the more complex concepts. Some of the problems were created by the author, other prob- lems are taken from sources listed in the list of bibliography. KEYWORDS geometric transformations, groups, Erlangen program, invariant, solved problems

Associational life in the town of Louny since 1861 till 1914
Vostřel, Martin ; Štěpánová, Irena (advisor) ; Petráňová, Lydie (referee) ; Drápala, Daniel (referee)
The objective of my work is to describe associational life in the town of Louny since 1861 to 1914. The years correspond with the year of "October Diploma" issue (1861), resp. the outbreak of World War I. (1914). In the first passages I tried to show the development of the town in the second half of the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th century from the urbanistic, demographical, industrial and political point of view. All these aspects influenced the associational life there. After the outline of the development of the associational life within the monarchy I aimed at it in Louny. I introduced various types of active notable local personalities in the profiles of Josef Havránek, the representative of the beginning of associational life; long-standing mayor Dr. Petr Hilbert, the owner of the local spa Josef Krýzl and extraordinary socially active woman Mrs Kristýna Ehrlichová. Then I aimed at associational activities in the town. I divided many of the societies into subchapters according to the prevailing orientation: choral dramatic and educational societies, walking and hiking, sport, womens' groups, Jewish associations and amusement societies. Associational life in Louny was influenced by its geographical position, at the Czech-German linguistic border. The town became the hub of...
Group and Cooperative Teaching on the First degree of the Elementary School
Vimrová, Miroslava ; Tomková, Anna (advisor) ; Krčmářová, Tereza (referee)
Main scope of the present diploma thesis is co-operative and group teaching with the emphasis on teaching in the elementary schools. The theoretical part offers an overview of the organizational forms of teaching, defines the concepts of group and co-operative teaching, and presents the basic insight into group and co-operative teaching. The practical part is an action reasearch. The main objective of this part is to verify efficiency of the theoretical procedures and methods of group and co-operative teaching when self-prepared or adopted materials are used in practice. This part also provides a didactical material verified in practice. Furthermore, it concentrates on advantages and disadvantages of co-operative teaching, observes the progress of groups of pupils and that of individual pupils, differences in thinking during co-operative and frontal teaching, relation between co-operative, problematic and explorational approach to teaching. KEYWORDS Co-operative teaching, group teaching, teamwork, team, pupil, efficiency, communication, assessment
Involvement of employers in the provision of care for preschool children in the Czech Republic
Rumanová, Jana ; Dobiášová, Karolína (advisor) ; Kotrusová, Miriam (referee)
My thesis deals with the involvement of employers in the provision of child care services in the Czech republic, their legislative options, motivations, and challenges associated with providing these services. In addition to the so-called. "firm" kindergartens governed by the School Low, recently there was established new child care in children's groups. I try to describe and explain the process of creating this new legislation using optics of Multiple Streams Theory. The conducted expert interviews and interviews with representatives of employers helped me with the identification of external motivations and influences mainly from the state and the surrounding environment and internal factors directly related to the organization. Problem areas mainly concern the establishment of the service and its sustainability. At the conclusion of the thesis, there are formulated recommendations that could help a greater involvement of employers in the provision of childcare services.
